Part One of Three Part John Wright Jesus Dream Trilogy Story! It Has Been Appropriately Titled — “You are Never Alone! I am always with you!”
By John Wright
The following story is the first of three stories regarding three dreams I had about Jesus in 1994. I had these dreams after seeing something that defied all logic and made me question my reality in a way that would forever change me. I was twenty four years old at the time.
Please be advised the following story is a true story, but please understand, it is not meant to disrespect anyone’s faith or convert someone’s faith to mine. This is especially considering that I am a person who does not believe that my salvation depends on what another person believes. It is also especially considering I am not part of any church or religion. I am — however — a person who believes in God and believes the two most important commandments are to “love God with all your heart” and “love your neighbor as yourself”.
Therefore — Ladies and Gentlemen of the Court of Public Opinion — with the above disclaimer being understood — it gives me great pleasure to share with you “Part One of Three Part Jesus Dream Trilogy! This story has been appropriately titled — “You are Never Alone! I am Always With You!”
This particular dream started with me walking on a dirt path in the middle of a forest full of beautiful green redwood trees. At one point I noticed with my peripheral vision that someone was walking right next to me. He was about 5’9 next to my 6’1 height and appeared to be around the age I was at the time (24 years old). I noticed him with my peripheral vision because he was directly on the left side of me walking in sync with me. I say he was walking in “sync” with me because he would literally put his left foot in front of himself at the same exact time I would put my left foot in front of myself to walk; the same thing would happen when stepping forward with my right foot. He was nobody I recognized beyond the dream as being one of my friends. It was ultimately the reason I eventually stopped walking and eventually looked over to him on the left and asked him who he was.
I asked: “Who are you?”
This person in my dream answered: “I’m Jesus.”
I asked: “Why do you look like this then?”
He replied: “How would you have me look? This is what is comfortable to you.”
Eventually I looked forward and continued walking straight ahead on this path with beautiful green forest trees on both sides. At one point I stopped because I noticed in the distance a small tiny silver camping trailer sitting in the middle of this forest. It stood out because there was nothing else around it but forest trees. I paused for a second but eventually started walking towards the small trailer with this person who identified himself as “Jesus. We arrived at the front door of this small silver camping trailer, I paused for a second, but eventually reached forward and opened the door as we both stepped inside this trailer together.
Upon entering the trailer, I immediately noticed there were three people around my age (24 years old at the time) sitting on a small couch facing another empty couch opposite them. I stood there staring at them for a second but eventually walked in and sat down on the couch opposite them. This person, who identified himself as “Jesus”, in the dream sat down in perfect sync with me at the same time I sat down. I became instantly anxious when I realized that these three friends were smoking pot right in front of me and this person who identified himself as “Jesus”. I was not anxious because I cared so much about people smoking pot in front me. I was actually more concerned about them doing it in front of this person who identified himself as “Jesus” in the dream. I was anxious because I was unsure what his reaction would be to them smoking pot. Nevertheless, at one point, one of the three friends in the dream asked me who the person was that was sitting next to me on the couch.
Friend asked: “Who is this?”
I answered: “It’s Jesus.”
The three friends in the dream instantly started laughing at me when I told them who this person was sitting on the right of me in the dream. I remember these three friends laughed so hard that the pot smoke prematurely left their mouths and started to fill up the small trailer, to the point where I could barely breath. I remember at this point I was more concerned with their laughing than smoking pot in front of this person who identified himself as “Jesus”. That is because I was unsure how he would react to their laughing. It was ultimately the reason that the anxiety, in the tone of my voice, became much more intense when talking to these three friends in the dream.
I shouted: “No! Stop! You can’t do this in front of him! He is Jesus! You must believe me! Please stop! Why don’t you believe me!? You are my friends! Why don’t you believe me!? You all said you believe in God! Why is it so hard to believe!?”
The one who identified himself as “Jesus” remained calm the entire time I was shouting at these three friends. I remember he sat there looking down at his fingers as he lightly rubbed the side of his index finger over his thumb in a motion that suggested he was not worried about anything. I, on the other hand, was a nervous wreck, because these friends were laughing and blowing pot smoke into the air like they just didn’t care. I was so frustrated I eventually looked up at the ceiling towards God and shouted out that I could not handle it anymore.
I screamed towards the ceiling: “I CAN’T DO THIS! I CANT DO THIS ANYMORE! THEY WONT LISTEN! I CANT DO THIS ANYMORE! IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY! PLEASE MAKE IT STOP! I CANT DO IT ANYMORE!”
“Jesus” suddenly turned his head to the left where I was sitting and stared at me with a look of concern on his face. This was followed by him eventually leaning slightly forward and gently using the back of his left hand to guide me back comfortably against the back of the couch as he began speaking to these three friends. I was not allowed to hear what he was saying to them but I did notice that these three friends stopped laughing the second “Jesus” started talking to them. They appeared to be in a total trance and totally interested in whatever he was saying.
Then — all the sudden — “BAM”— the dream began to flash from the beginning to the end with the voice of this person claiming to be “Jesus” echoing above me as the dream played like a movie before my eyes. I remember the sensation I felt being outside my body watching us walk through the forest together in sync at the beginning of the dream. He showed me how we walked side by side and stopped in sync at the door of this small silver camping trailer out in the middle of the forest. He showed me how we both sat down in sync on the couch together across from these three friends. He showed me how he stared at his fingers without a worry in the world as I started becoming anxious talking to these friends. He showed me from above how I looked up to the ceiling screaming out out in the dream — “I CAN’T DO THIS! I CANT DO THIS ANYMORE! THEY WONT LISTEN! I CANT DO THIS ANYMORE! IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY! PLEASE MAKE IT STOP! I CANT DO IT ANYMORE!”
He said from above: “Yes you can! However, in the day you cannot, I promise I will always step in the moment you cannot!”
He showed the part in the dream where he was leaning slightly forward and gently using the back of his left hand to guide me back comfortably against the back of the couch as he began speaking to these three friends.
I remember at this point the small room in the trailer slowly became darker and darker as I viewed us sitting on the couch in that little trailer from above until it was eventually completely dark. This person who identified himself as “Jesus” in the dream said one more thing to me before I woke up that morning in 1994. Even to this day, nearly twenty years later, I still remember the exact words he said to me just before I woke up staring at the ceiling in total amazement.
“John! Listen to me! I want you to never become anxious because the assured outcome is sure to come! Do you hear me? The assured outcome is sure to come! That is because you must understand that faith is based on unseen realities yet to come! Did I look anxious? No! That is because the assured outcome is sure to come! John! Remember! I am always with you! You are never alone!”
