Popular Homeowner Advocate Michelle Darnell Announces 2016 Run for State Representative In Washington State
Michelle Darnell is a mother of 4 and a graduate of Ferndale high school and a 25+ year Washington resident.
Her political career started in 2011, when she was elected to be a delegate to the WA state republican convention for Ron Paul. In 2014 she ran for state senate in the 48th against Cyrus Habib, garnishing 36% of the vote as a political newbie.
Michelle is a foreclosure defense paralegal and homeowner advocate, working to restore justice to homeowners facing unnecessary foreclosure in our state. She has spearheaded efforts to revise the Deed of trust act, first testifying in the issue in 2011 and most recently in February before the Senate Financial Institutions and Insurance committee.
Michelle is running to be a voice for homeowners facing unnecessary foreclosure and suffering the abuses of our non judicial foreclosure system because everyone deserves justice.
Michelle is running to be a voice for small business suffering under the burden of regulation and taxation, because everyone deserves opportunity.
Michelle is running to be a voice for students, families and teachers suffering from a broken education system, because our kids deserve a future.
Washington needs to get moving again. Michelle wants to end double taxation and repeal regulations that are inhibiting private transportation options.
Michelle is running to be a voice for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness because these are threatened by a trifecta of too big to fail corporations, big government and big labor that is manipulating policy and placing unfair burdens on the people of this state.
The people of this state deserve a voice. Michelle seeks to be that voice.
When not working or trying to inspire others to BE the change they wish to see, Michelle enjoys international travel, and her family. She has been to 5 countries in the last 2 years. Her oldest daughter is a Senior at UW. Her youngest daughter just returned from working in an orphanage in Tanzania and was hired as a full time preschool teacher. Her oldest son was recently engaged and is working toward becoming a journeyman plumber. Her youngest son is a 1st grader and lives with his dad on a farm on South Whidbey Island.
Michelle is working hard to try to make a better future for her children and the thousands of other children in this state. They deserve a better and working together we CAN change the world one heart at a time.
