He Survived Columbine High School Shootings But Might Not Survive Wells Fargo Foreclosure

Columbine High School massacre survivor, Richard Castaldo, is “Bowling for More Time” instead of “Bowling for Columbine” this time around.
Richard Castaldo made national headlines after becoming one of the first two victims of the Columbine High School shootings nearly thirteen years ago on April 20th, 1999. However, unfortunately, thirty one year old Columbine High School shooting survivor, Richard Castaldo, is now facing an auction sale date on Election Day, November 6th, 2012, regarding a potentially irregular, fraudulent, illegal and simply unsafe foreclosure process currently against his Los Angeles condo. — Picture of condo Now some voters want to know if it will be presidential candidate Barack Obama or presidential candidate Mitt Romney who will come up with the best idea for Richard Castaldo to save his wheelchair retrofitted condo from the auction block.
An Irvine, California based law firm named Brookstone Law generously offered to step forward and give the high profile Columbine shooting victim free representation in any legal battles that he might have with Wells Fargo. Piggybankblog.com contacted Mr. Castaldo and was granted an interview upon hearing about the potential lawsuit.
Therefore , Ladies and Gentlemen of the Court of Public Opinion, it gives me great pleasure to introduce to you Richard Castaldo!
The shooting rampage on April 20th, 1999 was the diabolical and evil plan of two seniors at Columbine High School named Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. This plan would unfortunately put the then seventeen year old Richard Castaldo and his friend Rachel Scott on a crash collision course with the killers …. becoming the first two victims in the Columbine shootings.
Richard Castaldo on April 20th, 2009 could not have known at 11:15 am an historical shooting rampage was about to begin where he and his friend Rachel Scott decided to sit for lunch. The chosen lunch area would later be labeled the “grassy knoll“ at Columbine High School for obvious reasons. The “grassy knoll” was a patch of lawn outside the Columbine High School cafeteria where friends would often meet. It would be here where Richard and Rachel would hear the first warning sign that something was terribly wrong on that mild spring day at their school. This sign came when they heard the sound of a pipe bomb exploding nearby. It was around this time that Richard and Rachel would see both Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold coming up the stairs outside the school with black trench coats carrying guns and walking right towards them. The killers first threw a pipe bomb directly at Rachel Scott that did not detonate. Then the gunmen simply opened fire on both Richard and Rachel with a spray of bullets. Rachel Scott would be hit first. Instantly she fell from a sitting position to the ground, after taking four shots in her leg, arm and chest. Richard Castaldo would be left lying motionless and bleeding after taking eight shots that hit his arm, back, chest and abdomen. Richard would later explain that he could see Rachel out of the corner of his eye crying as she was being murdered.
The Killer: “Where is your God now?”
This is when the killer picked up the very young and very beautiful Rachel Scott by her hair and asked her if she still believed in God. Rachel said that she did believe in God.
The Killer: “Then go be with your God.”
The deranged killer then put the last shot into her temple and she died instantly. Sadly the very young and beautiful Rachel Joy Scott died at 11:22 a.m. on April 20th, 1999.
The two crazed gunmen then walked away and into Columbine High School to continue their murderous shooting rampage inside the school. Soon after this every single television in the United States would be interrupted by national news of the horrifying events that were now unfolding at Columbine High School in a small town called Littleton in Colorado. Many people around the nation wondered how such an extraordinary event could happen in such an ordinary suburban upper middle class community where the foothills of the Rocky Mountains meet up with the strip malls at it’s base. The Columbine High School shootings would make many people feel that this kind of event hit too close to home. Many suburban upper middle class communities began to realize that this was something that could happen in their very own backyard. The entire nation was in shock.
The horrible Columbine shooting rampage that began at 11:15 am with the killing of Rachel Scott at 11:22 am ended at 12:08 pm when Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold committed suicide in the school library. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed twelve students and one teacher in that short time. The entire incident lasted a total of fifty minutes. Nevertheless I am sure many would agree that the pain of the families and friends of the victims would last a lifetime.
The result of this tragic shooting would leave Richard Castaldo permanently disabled and in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Richard shared with Piggybankblog that he was still in the hospital when then President Bill Clinton called to speak to him from the White House. – (President Clinton’s statement on the day of the shooting.) Richard went on to say that he had met with former President Clinton on several occasions over the past few years. One of those occasions was when former President Bill Clinton attended a groundbreaking Columbine memorial where Richard was present. Richard told Piggybankblog that he felt that former President Bill Clinton came across as if he genuinely cared about the kids involved in this national tragedy at Columbine High School during the time he was president.
Richard Castaldo would go on in life to participate in numerous high profile interviews and documentaries including his part in the 2002 movie Bowling for Columbine. Some of you might remember the famous scene in the movie where Michael Moore walks into Kmart with a wheelchair-bound Richard Castaldo and Columbine friend Brooks Brown to buy all the bullets at a Kmart and present them to the Kmart corporate headquarters. They were able to successfully lobby against Kmart to stop selling to minors the kinds of bullets that Castaldo still had in his body from the shooting. The movie was produced and directed by a very talented and controversial Michael Moore. I say “controversial” because it was reported that another Columbine student named Mark Taylor stated in an interview that Michael Moore was not entirely clear on what the movie would be about before Taylor agreed to be in the movie. Mark Taylor said he felt Moore used him and other Columbine victims for his own purposes — just to discard them when he was done. This was in Mark Taylor’s own words.
- Defund all wars of imperialism — including Iraq — Afghanistan — and Pakistan.
- Single-payer not-for-profit healthcare.
- Abolish corporate “personhood.” Rights belong to human beings — not corporations.
- Terminate the Patriot Act and restore the Bill of Rights.
- End corporate bailouts and create green jobs.
Richard Castaldo was born in San Diego, California in 1981. He lived in Denver for fifteen years. Richard then moved to Los Angeles with his mom in 2007 to pursue a music career. It was then that he attended SAE Institute to receive his degree in sound engineering. Currently Richard lives just outside West Hollywood and is facing foreclosure with an auction sale date on on November 6th, 2012.
Richard Castaldo’s foreclosure situation is somewhat unique and complicated. This is exactly why Piggybankblog felt that Richard’s situation offers us a perfect opportunity to ask the presidential candidates what their solution would be for Richard Castaldo. He faces losing his condo that he retrofitted to accommodate his devastating disability. The presidential candidates are essentially asking the American people to vote for them suggesting that they are able to find solutions to complicated problems that often have time sensitive restrictions. So here will be the presidential candidates’ opportunity to show what they’re made of. The voters simply want to know which presidential candidate is able to think fast on their feet while under pressure with a complicated situation. The situation here will involve saving the home of a man who was made seriously disabled by one of worst school campus mass murders in American history.
Here is Richard Castaldo’s situation:
Richard’s step father lives in Denver, Colorado where he works for ReMax. He is also on the Title of the house. Richard said that for some reason he is not cooperating very much with the process of getting a loan modification. Richard thinks this is because Wells Fargo does not seem to be cooperating either. The notice of default came last June 2012. The condo is slated to be auctioned off on November 6th, 2012 (Election Day) Richard said the loan was recently sold to “Rushmore Loan Servicing”.
However, for the record, someone said they might be lying to Richard. Someone said that a “serving company” cannot “own” a loan (unconfirmed). Now the question becomes whether or not Rushmore Loan Servicing is really only a third party debt collector. However, if true, you sure you want to go through with this sale tomorrow Rushmore. That’s because it seems Brookstone Law might be looking under the hood on that one. — Bookstone Law Press Release
Richard needs to postpone the sale date long enough to see if he can get the bank to work with him on an affordable loan modification.
Mr. Future President: His name is Richard Castaldo. He survived what is still considered the fourth deadliest mass murder ever committed on a school campus in American history. For that reason We are confident that the TRUE FUTURE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA will be able to find and offer a solution that saves this Columbine survivor’s handicap retrofitted condo. The simple fact is that Richard Castaldo should be allowed to feel safe in his own condo especially since he was not allowed to feel safe while attending Columbine High School.
However, unfortunately, this tragic story is far from over. That’s because it appears Richard Castaldo might not survive the potentially irregular — unfair — fraudulent and simply unsafe Wells Fargo foreclosure process currently taking place against his Hollywood home. This is in spite of Richard Castaldo’s courageous survival of one of the nation’s worst school shooting massacres in American history.
Therefore, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Court of Public Opinion, let us never forget what a world was like without God.
Welcome to the American Nightmare.
